Every community project begins with a need.

The Signpost Sessions began because many of us were carrying the same things in different places: uncertainty, overload, isolation, and the feeling that digital life keeps asking more from us than it gives back.

We know that when people are given space to slow down, reflect, and speak honestly, things get clearer. We do not always need another app, another framework, or another productivity system. Sometimes we need a place to pause, notice, and think with other people.

The Signpost Sessions are one way of holding that space.

What Are the Signpost Sessions?

The Signpost Sessions are small, guided community cohorts for people who want a steadier way to think about technology, community, and daily life.

Together, we try to:

  • Slow down enough to notice what is actually happening.
  • Listen to one another with care.
  • Gather real experience instead of pretending everything is fine.
  • Find language for what we are seeing, carrying, and trying to build.

You might think of Signpost as a small campfire rather than a big stage. A place to sit, listen, and figure out what matters next.

Why “Signpost”?

In moments of uncertainty, signposts help us find our way. They don’t tell us exactly where to go. They simply mark the landscape. They say: “Notice this.”

In this project, a signpost might be a person, a practice, a story, or a shared realization. Something that helps someone else find a little more direction.

How It Works

This is not a rigid program. We move through three broad movements:

1. See. We practice noticing. What is actually happening in your life, work, and community?

2. Sense. Starts March/April. We look for patterns and ask what helps us keep going.

3. Show. Starts May/June. We turn reflection into something useful, shareable, or actionable.

Ways to Participate

There is more than one way to be part of this.

  • Read and reflect. Follow the prompts and think with them on your own time.
  • Join the Signal thread. This is where weekly prompts, check-ins, and lightweight conversation happen.
  • Join a live call when they are available. Sometimes it helps to hear voices and see faces.
  • Contribute something. A short note, a voice message, a story, a question, a reflection.

What Makes This Different

The Signpost Series is not a course. It’s not a webinar. There are no grades and no certificates.

It is a shared practice of paying attention to what it means to live, work, and stay human in the present.

How to Join Us

There is no expectation that you do everything.

  • Join as a listener: Read the prompts and think with them.
  • Join as a storyteller: Share your voice, writing, or reflections.
  • Join as a participant: Check in on Signal and take part in the conversation.

All forms of participation are welcome. The structure is designed to meet you where you are, including if you are tired, overwhelmed, or unsure where you fit.

If this sounds like the kind of space you have been looking for, start with the Signpost Sessions page or reach out through the contact page.
