The Signpost Sessions welcomes contributions from people who want to share a story, reflection, or piece of writing that helps name what this moment feels like and what helps us keep going.

We are less interested in polished expertise than in honest, grounded contribution.

What We Are Looking For

You might send:

  • a personal reflection
  • a short essay
  • a voice note
  • a story about a person, practice, or tradition that has guided you
  • a piece about what strain, care, hope, or community looks like where you are

We are especially interested in contributions that feel:

  • specific rather than abstract
  • honest rather than polished
  • grounded in lived experience
  • useful to other people trying to navigate similar questions

A Few Directions

If you want a starting point, here are a few directions:

  • What helps you keep going when things feel heavy?
  • What has your community taught you about care?
  • What does hope look like where you are?
  • Who has served as a signpost in your life?
  • What are you learning about privacy, dignity, or participation in digital life?

Ways to Contribute

1. Share something of your own

Send a draft, a short reflection, or a voice note.

If you publish on your own blog, newsletter, or social platform, you can send us the link. We may highlight selected pieces as part of the broader Signpost conversation.

3. Stay lightweight

You do not need to produce a formal essay to be part of this. A short note, a paragraph, or a recorded reflection can be enough.

Style Guidelines

  • Word count: 500-1,200 words is a useful range, but shorter is fine.
  • Tone: grounded, reflective, and readable
  • Format: clear headings help, but polish matters less than substance

Digital Safety and Anonymity

We understand that some people may want or need distance between their words and their public identity.

  • Anonymous submissions are welcome.
  • Pseudonyms are welcome.
  • If you include contact information for follow-up, it remains private.

How to Submit

For now, the simplest path is to reach out through the contact page or use the listening post / message flow already linked through Signpost materials.
