InitiatED is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards.
Standards We Follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
What We Do
- Use semantic HTML throughout the site
- Provide meaningful alt text for images
- Ensure sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
- Use ARIA labels on interactive elements where appropriate
- Support keyboard navigation throughout the site
- Design with system fonts — no custom font loading that could interfere with screen readers
- Build as a static site — no dynamic content that obscures page structure
Known Limitations
Some legacy content migrated from our previous WordPress site may not fully meet accessibility standards. We are working to review and update this content. If you encounter a barrier, please contact us — your report helps us prioritize fixes.
Third-Party Content
We do not embed third-party widgets, iframes, or tracking scripts that we cannot control. Where we link to external content (videos, documents, tools), we cannot guarantee the accessibility of those external sites.
